Description
EuropaScène is a bridge between the performing arts and craftsmanship, between France and Germany, and between their two languages. It is a project by Les Alternateurs, supported by the European Union, where young trainees from Alsace and Baden-Württemberg come together to create a five-minute bilingual sketch related to their profession and shared values.
The teams performed on 14 May 2025 at the Tollhaus Karlsruhe and on 22 May 2025 at the Parktheater Lahr for the semi-finals, and those selected took the stage on 28 May 2025 at the Zénith de Strasbourg for the grand final.
In 2025, I had the pleasure of being the writer and director of the bakery and pastry trainees’ team. They performed Se taire ? Nie wieder! (Keep silent? Never again!), a powerful scene about harassment, revenge, and moral and ethical dilemmas in bakery kitchens.
And guess what? They won the jury’s Coup-de-cœur Prize for the semi-finals, so they performed again at the Zénith de Strasbourg on 28 May 2025!
