On 17 May 2025, we gathered for an evening of musical discovery, where the voice took center stage in all its expressive power. This concert marked the culmination of several weeks of intensive artistic work as part of a vocal masterclass led by Anna Schmid.
The result was a rich and colorful program that spans centuries, styles, and languages. From the emotional depth of Schubert’s The Trout (Die Forelle) to the cheeky wit of Fais-moi mal, Johnny, the evening offered both contrast and cohesion. Alongside solo performances, the singers come together as an ensemble in choral pieces—including a heartfelt rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
It was a lively mix of classical art songs, chanson, musical theatre, and more. Reflecting a rich cultural and linguistic diversity, each piece offered a unique perspective on its musical tradition.
Pianist Bastian Pütz accompanied the evening with nuance and artistry.
