Description
The timeless myth of Medea has captivated artists for centuries — from Euripides to Christa Wolf, from composers to painters, from stage to screen.
In Medea zweipunktnull, we strip the story to its raw emotional core, exploring its burning relevance today. Through biographical research and a fearless look at toxic relationships, the production fuses documentary theater, the power of the Greek chorus, and classical acting to create a modern, visceral theatrical experience.
Dive into passion, betrayal, and the dark poetry of Medea — a story as shocking and irresistible today as it was thousands of years ago.
Background of the project
The project will have its first public presentation on 19 December, 2025, at the Hoftheater Alfter as part of my Bachelor project in PerformArt, in the form of a short version with a maximum duration of 30 minutes. A complete version will then be performed on January 19, 2026, at 19:30 at the Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn. The goal of the project is to continue developing and presenting this work beyond these initial performances, expanding its reach and artistic impact.
